I’ve been having a really bad couple of weeks. I feel as if I’m coming under attack in so many ways. I rebuke these feelings in the name of Jesus. I pray for my healing and the healing of my friends and family. The devil is a lie and no weapon formed against me shall prosper.
So there is a new show called BAPS on Lifetime. While the original movie BAPS was about two young ladies growing up in the hood, struggling to make it big and finally landing wealth, this show is strictly about “Bougie” blacks being born in wealth.
“The project blacks, the Good Times blacks, we don’t relate to that…we’re the Cosby blacks!”
“I don’t know anything about government cheese and gold chains, I’ve never worn gold chains in my life
I am thoroughly disgusted with their behaviors and their attitudes.
When classism takes over…
Bland ass watercress people. PASS.
Oh my god looks how fucking corny this shit is already. I take Original BAPS over this fake shit any day.
I damn sure won’t be watching
I thought that being a BAPS wasn’t about where you came from, but making the most of your given situation. About rising together and loving each other. About making your dreams come true, and treating people with respect. This doesn’t stand for Black American Princesses, This stands for Black Americans Passing Stereotypes. I will not be a supporter of a show where Black people care more about where they were born and not about how to love and support their brothers and sisters.
